Lib Dem leadership candidate Simon Hughes declares the contest is 'no beauty parade'. Indeed.Whilst on Mr Hughes (if you'll forgive the expression), is it just How Ridiculous who thinks that with every passing day he sounds and looks more like Tony Benn?

Perhaps after 2 March we shall be able to say: 'Didn't he do well?' or even: 'He's so much better than the last one!'
